Lots of new friends have arrived here at the farm and we’d like to introduce them.
First and foremost, all us birds would like to wish Gretel a very Happy Mother’s Day and congratulate her on the hatching of her very first chicks! So far, 6 of the 7 have entered the world! We’re all very excited about them.
Next, we’d like to introduce our adopted sisters, two beautiful little splash Wyandottes that Mother brought home yesterday. They are about 2 1/2 months old and settling in nicely with Madeline. In a month or so they will have earned their spot in the Coop Library!
Last, but not least, are Ricky and Lucy Goose, the Tufted Roman geese that Mother brought home as a Mother’s Day gift for her Mother. We’re not exactly sure how we feel about these two, because, to be honest, they are a bit intimidating- they are HUGE (compared to us at least)! But we welcome them to the farm just the same, so long as they don’t take too much of Mother’s attention away from us.
